The classroom I was in had many different types of technology in the classroom. There was not a SmartBoard but there was a SmartTable. The class had just gotten it so it had not been used very much. There is a document camera and a projector. The classroom itself did not have computers but there was a cart outside the class with laptops for each grade level. There is also a television and dvd player.
b. Which technologies were used during your three days in the field? How were they used? How often were they used?
The technologies used while we were in the field for three days were: document camera, projector, and the SmartTable. The children used a SmartTable a few times during center times, but not very much. The document camera is what was used all day every day. The teacher used the document camera for math instruction everyday. She also used the document camera for reading instruction as well. The students were very comfortable with the technology.
